Stiegel Glassworks 1976

Manheim, Pennsylvania

Summer 2017 - On Break, see Production note below

In Brief...

Our Mission

To celebrate hand crafted art glass in the tradition of the founder of Manheim Borough, Henry William Stiegel, circa 1763.

Art, History, and Education

Local artisans craft beautiful glass pieces both useful and decorative for resale and demonstration of the art form.  Tourist delight in watching or taking part in creating one of a kind pieces.

Our Production

Largely staffed by volunteers, our next furnace firing is scheduled after Labor Day.  Our gaffers come from around the region to use our facilities, but to bring our furnace up to 2,200 degrees on an as needed basis presents scheduling predictability issues.  Tours and glass blowing experiences must be coordinated and scheduled well in advance.  We will try to post scheduling updates as they become known.  Retail of our products continues during normal business hours at Longenecker's True Value Hardware, Doe Run Road, Manheim.  Facebook Stiegel Glassworks 1976 or paste to your browser:
